Each of you should make some preparation just in case a major earthquake, tornado or hurricane does strike your area. It is very important to not overreact following such a major disaster!

There have been dozens of harebrained suggestions from various well meaning groups put forward, an excellent example of what not to do is the "Duck and Cover" technique.

This earthquake survival information has been presented on television networks by our brother rescue team, American Rescue Team International, in more than 120 countries. Home Box Office, the Learning Channel's Earth Rush series, Discovery Channel documentaries and most of the major networks around the world are helping take survival from the "duck and cover" method which has resulted in only 2% of victims surviving building collapse to the 'Triangle of Life' method which results in 75-95% of victims surviving.

Members of the American Rescue team collapsed a school and home in Turkey with the co-operation of the Turkish Federal Government, University of Istanbul and City of Istanbul. They crawled inside to film the results. 10 dummies who "ducked and covered" were "ducked and splattered" . The 10 dummies who were placed in the "Triangle of Life" were untouched.

This closely monitored, scientific test proved that survivability in a building collapse can go from 0% to 100%. This is expected to save 100,000 to 300,000 lives per year when adopted around the world. Spreading these test results is one of our most important projects. Many TV stations plan to broadcast these films taken inside of collapsed buildings. Current plans are to continue to repeat the test around the world. We believe that you should know what actually happens when buildings collapse.

We wish to offer you some simple, common sense emergency procedures and reasonable preparations which everyone living should make.

First on our list is not to use the "Duck and Cover" technique. Instead, we highly recommend that you use the Triangle of Life technique developed by Mr. Douglas Copp, Executive Director, American Rescue Team international.
